Step By Step

We spent Monday afternoon at Emory with Dr Staley, Chief of Surgical Oncology and are totally confident he is the right choice! Surgical credentials aside we feel he truely cares and has great people & communication skills. His instincts & past experience tell him Deb most likely has a neuroendocrine tumor , the type that will not require chemo. Additional tests are scheduled over the next few days and if results are completed and analyzed by the end of this week surgery will be scheduled next week. Keep us in your prayers and keep the faith - we are!
" I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. I will counsel you and watch over you" Psalm 32:8

  1. Yay for the good news! I'm so glad you like the Doctor - that makes all the difference in the world to feel like you are in the hands of someone who cares! In the midst of this, God is showing us that He is good! Love you!

  2. Debbie, I'm so sorry to hear that your family is going through this but your attitude and positive spirit are such an affirmation to me. It sounds like you have a great medical team working with you and a great husband and family to support you. We still talk of you often at Lowery!

  3. Debbie and Dave-
I am saddened by this news. I just heard today from Jan. I am sick that you are having to go through this. But I am so encouraged by your strong faith and belief that God will watch over you and heal you. You both are such amazing people! Debbie-I miss you so much! Jaime shared your blog site with me today...and in hind sight, I had no idea what she meant when she said, "I wanted to share Mom and Dad's blog site with you so you can keep up with what they are doing." I had no idea that this is what she was referring to. It all made sense after I talked to Jan today. I wasn't at school when the office people had found out.

Anyway, I will check back frequently. Thank you for keeping this blog so that I can keep current with everything. I will be praying for you each day, many times. Your doctor sounds phenomenal and I know that must ease your mind.

    Praying,
    Cassie

I saw your sweet daughters at Boon. I'm long term subbing for Cline so I've been up there working on the classroom! Saw that cute baby bump on Jaime!:)

Take care and know that you are being covered in prayer!
